Witness testifies her to theft of $10k worth jewelries

The second prosecution witness in an aggravated robbery trial testified in the Suva High Court that the accused stole her jewelries worth over ten thousand dollars.

Nasira Jan, took the stand against Mosese Uluicicia yesterday.

It is alleged that Uluicicia entered into the house of businessman Mohammed Jan in August last year and stole mobile phones, jeweleries and he allegedly drove away in Jan’s vehicle which was parked outside his house.

The businessman’s wife who was not at home on the day of the alleged offense told the court that when she came into the house the next day, she saw her things were messed up and her jewelries were allegedly stolen.

The alleged offense took place at the couple’s Toganivalu Place home on August 5th, 2016.

The trial will continue today.
