Wife's alleged murderer says he is remorseful

Mohammed Yasin who is alleged of murdering his wife in Wailailai Ba three years ago, is currently giving his testimony in the Suva High Court.

The man is charged with one count of murder.

Recalling the day of the alleged offense Yasin admitted stabbing his wife with a kitchen knife at his sister’s place in November 2014.

He told the court that did not imagine that his wife will die.

Yasin was very descriptive while informing the court about the incident post incident.

The accused described how he went to sit under a mango tree after the alleged incident and was worried what had happened.

While sitting there, Yasin also described neighbors taking his wife to the hospital.

He informed the court he was full of remorse.

He said within few hours, Police arrived at his sister’s place.

He alleges he was dragged by the officers to the Police vehicle.

The case is currently underway in the Suva High Court.
