The Suva High Court will sentence 57-year-old Mohammed Yasin in the next few hours.

Yasin was convicted of one count of murder by Judge Justice Salesi Temo late yesterday afternoon.

He murdered his wife in Wailailai Ba three years ago.

The three assessors had also given unanimous guilty opinion.

Mohammed Yasin had confessed stabbing his wife in 2014 after having suspicion that she was having an affair while they were separated.

In his judgement, Judge Temo also concurred that the accused stabbed his wife with the intent of killing her.

Judge Temo said Yasin’s actions were reckless.
