There is widespread flooding in Labasa after the Labasa River burst its bank late last night.

The Main Street in Labasa Town is underwater and water has entered most shops.

Several streets are also underwater.

The Labasa Market including the parking lot and the nearby shops are also flooded.

Hospital Road and the Botanical Gardens which lie beside the Labasa River are also under floodwaters.

Vulovi is also flooded after the Qawa River burst its banks.

Floodwaters have also entered some classrooms at the All Saints Secondary School while Vunivau is also underwater with the bridge at Vunivau Village collecting heavy debris.

Vatunibale Road is now a sea of murky brown water, inaccessible to all traffic.

This means there is now no access to Bulileka, Low Cost, Boca, Boubale, Urata, Lovelove, Dreketilailai and Lekutulevu.

Heavy rain continues as well as momentary gusts.
