WHO praises Fiji's health care standards

The World Health Organisation is pleased with the standard of Fiji’s Health care system.

Regional Director Western Pacific Region Dr Sin Young Soo says Fiji’s health system is well developed even though we go through a lot of difficulties.

“I would like to commend highly the strong leadership of the Ministry of Health under the Minister, that even in the last three years there have been a lot of new programmes been introduced especially strengthening primary health care service.”

He says one of the main problem faced by Pacific island countries is the fight against non communicable disease.
