The weather has improved significantly as systems continue to move away from the Group faster than anticipated.

According to the Nadi Weather Office, Heavy rains and strong winds have eased and the weather will be clear for most parts of the Group later today.

All alerts and warnings that were previously in force are now cancelled.

Meanwhile, another trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the east of the Group and associated cloud and showers will affect the eastern parts of the country

Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands can expect Occasional showers, isolated heavy falls and possible thunderstorms are expected over the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands and gradually clear tonight.

The rest of the country can expect cloudy periods with possible afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
