The services of the Director of Public Prosecutions will be required in the matter pertaining to the Facebook post made by SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu.

This was revealed by Bulitavu’s lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo.

Vosarogo says the matter is in relation to the Public Order Act, Section 17 – which is seen to be inciting hatred.

He told FBC News they will wait for the DPP to look into the matter.

“I suppose, because it’s in relation to the Public Order Act, it would require the Director of Public Prosecution to look at the file. That’s probably what’s going to happen next. We’ve just done with the interview and he has exercised certain constitutional rights during the interview and so I think that’s probably what we’ll say for now.”

Meanwhile, Bulitavu was questioned and released on Friday.

He will liaise with the Police for further questioning in the coming weeks.
