We will continue investing in health facilities: Akbar

The Ministry of Health will continue to invest in upgrading, renovating and building new facilities for the betterment of all Fijians.

Health Minister Rosy Akbar says this is part of ministry’s current and ongoing quality improvement program undertaken by the ministry.

She added that this will ensure that the people of Fiji are provided with the best health care services that they deserve.

Akbar said that in the last five years $102 million has been invested in upgrading and constructing new health facilities around Fiji.

She added that a lot more needs to be done for those facilities which were built way back.

She said that Valelevu Health Centre will have a better waiting area for people and a modern and improved emergency department will be built soon.
