We stand for equality: FijiFirst Party Leader

October 7, 2018 12:30 am

FijiFirst Party Leader Voreqe Bainimarama says they stand for equality and focus on improving the lives of Fijians.

Bainimarama says voters are to think about their children’s future when casting their vote on Election Day.

He adds the party has done a lot for the country in the past years and will continue to do so if they’re voted back into government.

He says in order for them to occupy the fifty-one sits in parliament, they need the support of the people.

” We don’t want some political parties sitting opposite talking about race, talking about religion – we don’t want that. We hear from SODELPA that we’re here for the Itaukei. Then who’s going to look after the indo-Fijians. NFP was formed to look after the indo-Fijians, who’s going to look after the Itaukei. You listen to their debates in parliament, when SODELPA attacks the indo-Fijians, guess where the leaders of the NFP go? Under the table. Seriously when SODELPA attacks indo-Fijians in parliament, you never hear a single word from Biman Prasad.”

Bainimarama was speaking at the FijiFirst Party family fun day in Nausori yesterday along with its fifty-one provisional candidates.

Thousands of people from various parts of the country were part of the event.
