“It’s very easy to form an association but to maintain and run, it needs unity thus “we need to work together”

This was highlighted by Minister for Infrastructure Praveen Kumar while officiating at the First ever annual general meeting of the Fiji Building Designers Association.

Kumar says this AGM creates a great platform for designers in providing better services to Fijians.

“Creating a platform of empowerment to enhancing capability and capacity of its members to provide quality of services and have an influence on the style and statistic in building and design industry.”

He says designers in Fiji cater approximately seventy five percent compared to other building consultants as they provide service to low and medium earners.

Meanwhile, the AGM will hear concerns raised by members regarding their daily operations, ways in which building and designing can be improved and how the Association and the government can work together.

More than fifty members of the association attended the AGM.
