Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says they have their own plans in the construction and location of evacuation centers.

Bainimarama was responding to requests from villages in Taveuni, Tukavesi and Natewa for the funding and construction of their evacuation centers.

He stated that when a request for an evacuation centre is received, government will go and see exactly where it is to be built.

Bainimarama adds they also have a standard building plan for all evacuation centers they will build.

He adds that government will first work with the long list of villages that have requested for an evacuation centre.
