We did not do well: Police Commissioner

The Commissioner of Police has hit out at the performance of police officers during the Commissioner’s first quarter of this year that was held this morning at the Suva Foreshore.

Addressing more than 600 officers, Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua says they did not do well.

Naivalurua says while they have recorded a reduction in crime, there has been an increase in complaints against police officers and their services.

He says complaint against the police simply means that they failed to conduct themselves like a police officer.

Complaints against officers recorded a 49% increase.

Brigadier General Naivalurua challenged all officers to do better.
