SODELPA members who are against some of the policies introduced by the party can bring it up during their Annual General Meeting in Namoli, Lautoka this weekend.

Party leader Sitiveni Rabuka made this statement while speaking at a party press conference earlier today.

FBC News asked Rabuka on whether there are disputes amongst some senior members of the party.

Rabuka says SODELPA is a democratic party and any issue can be discussed upon the approval by the AGM chair.

“A party that doesn’t have dissident within the party is a party under dictatorship, we allow for dissent and we are a very democratic party and for those who are against whatever is going on can bring it up to the general assembly because we are a democratic political party where the majority will prevail.”

Meanwhile, proposed candidate Lynda Tabuya says the AGM is a landmark achievement for SODEPLA as this will be the first time ever that supporters of the People’s Democratic Party will also be present at the meeting.

Tabuya says it will also be a good time for party supporters to meet some of their proposed candidates for the upcoming general election.
