For 10 years Kusma Wati has been running a successful business from home – selling wholesale fried beans to bigger shops in Labasa Town.
The 50 year-old is one of the 888 entrepreneurs who received their $1,000 grants from government to help expand her business.
Speaking to FBC News, Wati says running a business by yourself is sometimes challenging and any assistance of this sort is always welcome.
“I will use this to buy more blue peas and oil to increase my business of selling bean, fried bean. I thank the government, they have helped me too much.”
To date, over 15,000 Fijians have been assisted with the $1,000 grants under the Micro and Small Business Grants Scheme.
