Waterways Ministry to provide better services

The Ministry of Waterways and Environment will continue to better services for the rural farmers in terms of drainage and farm access roads.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development, Waterways and Environment Dr. Mahendra Reddy during his two-day Central tour to Muaniweni, Naitasiri.

Dr. Reddy while addressing the issues raised by the farmers at the Shantiniketan Pathshala community school said the Ministry of Waterways and Environment will continue to support the farmers in the growth and development of their farms.

He says the drainage scheme is a priority which the Ministry will maintain in addition to maintaining and upgrading of farm access roads.

Dr. Reddy ended his two-day Central tour meeting and held informal talanoa sessions with Fijians living in Naitasiri and Tailevu regarding agricultural and waterways issues.
