Residents living along the elevated areas from Tamavua to Colo-i-Suva, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Tovata can expect to experience low water pressure to intermittent water supply over the next 24 hours.

The Water Authority of Fiji says the interruption in supply is due to an electrical fault at the Waila Treatment Plant which has affected the water pumps at the Treatment Plant, therefore, this has resulted in low volumes of water being pumped to the Tovata, Nagatugatu, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Colo-i-Suva Reservoirs.

The authority is working to rectify the problem and re-stabilize the water system, however it’s expected to normalize by 7pm tomorrow.
