Water disruptions for Sigatoka and Lautoka

Residents living in Sigatoka will be experiencing water supply disruptions today.

The shutdown will be done to allow contractors time to install standby generators at the Water Authority’s Matovo Treatment Plant.

Residents living within the Sigatoka Town boundary and nearby areas will be affected and the Authority is urging its customers to store enough water.

Supply is expected to be fully restored by 6 pm.

And parts of Lautoka will also experience low pressure to intermittent water supply throughout today.

Supply disruption is due to upgrading work being carried out along Kings Highway.

Residents living in the greater Vitogo areas are affected.

Supply is expected to be restored in the evening.
