The upgrading of waste water pipes will be one of the major focuses of the Water Authority of Fiji.
Infrastructure Minister Jone Usamate says work on this area will include the repairing of old pipes, and relocating them if the need arises.
Usamate says WAF will need to identify all problems related to waste water management before they begin with the work.
“Similar sort of money has also being set aside projects for these Waste water pipe lines to fix them up, to replace them where its needs or relocate, some of these things might be in the wrong place, probably in the road now, because roads have gone wider, those needs need to be relocated.
Usamate says $10.3million has been set aside for this project.
Meanwhile work on the 4miles waste water pipeline is almost complete.
