The province of Lomaiviti has been warned to make use of the Provincial administrators’ office and Provincial Council office when dealing with development projects.

Prime Minister’s office official Kisoko Cagituevei made the call during the Lomaiviti Provincial Council meeting in Suva this morning.

He told the delegates that on numerous occasions, landowners had to resort to the government after their dealings have gone wrong.

He says a classic example was in Nawailevu where the bauxite is located.

Government had done everything and later on they engaged two local lawyers who ripped them off.

He reminded the people of Lomaiviti to ensure that they do not go through the same experience.
