Walesi Limited expanded its Digital Terrestrial TV coverage footprint to the greater Savusavu area.

This follows the commissioning of a new transmission site at Naveria which is within the fringes of the Savusavu town.

Walesi was launched in 2017 targeted to provide Digital TV coverage to all communities, since then it has gradually expanded its footprint.

The expansion to the greater Savusavu area is an iconic achievement since Savusavu has been a greenfield area in terms of television coverage as there has always been very minimal television coverage in the area.

The commissioning of this new transmission site in Savusavu has also expanded Digital TV coverage to Koro Island.

As a result of this expansion, Savusavu residents and its surrounding areas are now able to enjoy eight local TV channels for free. These include FBC TV, Fiji One, FBC Sports, Mai TV, Channel 2, FBC 2, Parliament Channel and Hope Channel.
