The Waiqele Airport terminal building will undergo an upgrade later this year.

Air Fiji Limited Board Director, Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere says they have engaged the services of a consultant to oversee the upgrade work.

FBC News understands the Adi Laisa Terminal will be separated into two to cater for arrivals and departures.

Ratu Wiliame adds, the apron for aircraft and the car park facilities will also be worked on.

He says such developments will improve air connectivity between Fijians living in remote parts of Fiji to the mainland.
