Two of the eight new generators owned by Water Authority will be installed at the Waila Pumping Station.
A total of eight generators will be installed in this new financial year and it’s an effort to lessen the burden during power outages for the customers.
Water Authority’s Chief Operating Officer Samanmal Ekanayake says the other six will be based at Savura Pumping Station, Tamavua, Wainibuku, Khalsa, Vaturu and Matovo in Sigatoka.
Ekanayake says an effective and efficient service is their priority and is required to be delivered at all times to their customers.
The total cost of these generators is $6 million dollars.
