The Water Authority of Fiji is working to provide the people living in the Northern end and the Southern part of Taveuni Island with proper water supply.
Chief executive, Opetaia Ravai says by early next year works will begin on the island.
Ravai says this will cost around $3.2million, while an additional $3.6million will see the construction of a Water Treatment Plant.
Currently water cart trucks are filled and distributed to various villages in Taveuni.
