The Water Authority is looking at outsourcing the repairs of its infrastructure in the coming months.

Chief Operating Officer, Samanmal Ekanayake says this will ensure that they provide effective and efficient service to their customers.

Ekanayake says WAF’s infrastructure is old and needs upgrading.

_“It will be a pilot tender because this is the first time we are handling it so we will be selecting an area as a pilot one and after that based on the outcome we will then take further actions.” _

The Authority has already outsourced the maintenance of generators to a contractor.
