Uluinayau says the leakage is suspected to have started from the welding joints and has deteriorated over the past few weeks – causing WAF to lose approximately one mega liter per day.

He adds that a hundred water tanks will be placed in villages and communities and 19 water carting trucks will be deployed.

All residents in the Lautoka area are urged to store water.
