WAF looking at avenues to improve its services

The Water Authority says they are looking at developing a new Viria pump station to improve water supply from Tailevu right up to Suva.

General Manager Customer Services Sekove Uluinayau says they are looking at avenues to improve its services to Fijians in both the rural and urban areas.

Uluinayau says repair works on some of its infrastructure will also be carried out as part of their holistic approach.

“We are also upgrading upstream for more water sources and increasing our capacity at the treatment plant. And also to increase our coverage. It’s all part of the holistic approach.”

Meanwhile, as part of its responsibility to provide safe drinking water for Fijians, the Water Authority has developed a number of projects.
