The Water Authority of Fiji is looking for new water sources.

The Authority is currently carting water in the Western division and parts of Northern division due to the dry weather condition and Chief Executive Opetaia Ravai says there is a need to increase the treatment capacity of plants.

He says they are currently securing land leases where the new water catchment will be as part of their long term plan.

The Authority has spent more than $12 million since January to cart water in affected areas.
