WAF conducts flushing works in Nadi

November 2, 2018 7:30 pm

The Water Authority is currently in the process of conducting flushing works to eliminate suspected trapped air within the water reticulation systems in the Nadi area.

WAF Board Director, Kamal Gounder says water carting trucks have been deployed to areas that will experience low water pressure or no water at all.

“This has happened because initially in September when we carried out the repair work there was already some air lock in the bulk line which had caused low pressure in the higher elevated areas like Solovi, Lavusa, Masi and Sonaisali”

Gounder says WAF is committed to resolving the water issues in the Nadi area and is working around the clock to normalize water services.

Those in the Nadi area are urged to boil all drinking water as customers are likely to experience discolored water as a result of the flushing operations.
