WAF completed 20 water projects

The Water Authority of Fiji has so far completed 20 of its 29 ongoing capital projects for the last two years.

These include the upgrading of water mains, upgrading of treatment plants, purchasing of pumps, buying and installing of generators, payments and construction of water supply in rural areas.

More than $2.5million was budgeted for these and WAF has already committed close to $2million.

Out of the completed projects 16 are rural water supply projects aimed at improving water supply to villages.

Other major works around Fiji are still continuing.
