The Water Authority of Fiji is closely monitoring the water and wastewater systems in Labasa.
This comes after a team from WAF together with the Ministry of infrastructure inspected these systems with an aim of ensuring clean water and sanitation is provided for people in the area.
WAF Board Director, Hemant Kumar says the work undertaken by his team will ensure clean fresh water flows into the system.
Their visit began at the Labasa Depot in Vatunibale, followed by the Namara Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Nasealevu Water Source.
They also visited ongoing projects such as the sewer mains upgrade from Nivis Road to Damanu, as well as the Rara Reservoir.
