Vuniwaqa visits homeless

Four homeless people living on the streets of Suva were today taken for medical check-up at the Saint Giles Hospital.

Social Welfare Minister Mereseini Vuniwaqa toured the city of Suva today and met some of the street dwellers.

As part of the Loloma Operation which is aimed at providing assistance for the homeless and the less fortunate, Vuniwaqa took time out today to see first-hand the situation surrounding these people.

Vuniwaqa says the number of homeless people keeps on increasing and through the Loloma Operation they were able to provide help for some of them.

In partnership with the Fiji Police Force, Vuniwaqa says more focus is vital to assist the less fortunate.
