Vulnerable members of the community should be protected from all forms of abuse says the National Substance Abuse Advisory Council.

Council Assistant Director Talica Malani told FBC News their main message to schools is that all people should be safe from abuse.

She says the theme for this year ‘Keep Me Safe from Abuse to Shine’ is meant for children to be free from abuse and be able to expose their talents.

“They are able to have a better self esteem so that they can shine out nad be able to contribute more positively using their talents.”

The Council is currently visiting schools all over Fiji creating awareness on the need to stop abuse.
