Voters urged to turn up for voting

November 16, 2018 8:36 pm

All voters who are supposed to vote today in any of the 22 polling venues have been urged to turn up and cast their vote.

MIDA Chair Ashwin Raj has made this call after visiting a polling centre in Lodoni Tailevu earlier this morning.

Raj says a lot of voters who voted in these polling venues on Wednesday still have the impression that they should not vote again today.

“So if you are thinking that you have cast your vote on Wednesday and you don’t have to come today please you have to come again and cast your vote in one of the 22 polling stations that you are assign to.”

Raj says it is vital that Fijians exercise their constitutional right to vote for a government that they believe will best serve them in the next four years.

Meanwhile, over seven thousand people are expected to vote in the 22 polling venues.
