Vodafone Fiji Limited is currently working with overseas vendors to introduce ticket vending machines in the country.
Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad says this will enable the public to top up their e-transport cards from any vending machine at any bus stand.
Prasad says the Hong Kong based vendor has deployed solutions across the Asia Pacific and as well as Europe.
He says they want the vending machines to be installed in the next six months.
“Progress is being made. We have identified the vendor together with the machines and now our team is looking after that project. You will be able to see this solution in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong where customers are using ticket vending machines to top up their card and go.”
Meanwhile from this afternoon the public can top-up their e-transport cards through the M-Paisa platform.
