Visitor arrivals increased by 7.7% last month

The provisional numbers released by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics shows that visitor arrivals increased by seven point seven percent last month.

Over eighty-eight thousand six hundred visitors came to our shores with holiday accounting for around eighty percent of total arrivals.

Increases in arrivals were recorded from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Continental Europe and USA.

The only decrease was recorded from Pacific Islands.

Majority of the visitors were in the age range twenty-five to sixty-four which accounts for the vast majority of the working population.
