Visitor arrivals increase by 6.2 percent in October

Provisional numbers released by the Bureau of Statistics shows an increase of six point two percent in visitor arrivals for last month.

Over seventy-eight thousand visitors arrived in Fiji in October of which around seventy-seven percent were here for holiday purposes.

There were increases in arrivals from New Zealand, United States of America, Continental Europe and rest of Asia.

Decreases were recorded in arrivals from Australia, China and Canada.
