Visit by Samoan PM is a testament to friendship: Bainimarama

August 27, 2018 7:48 pm

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says the visit by Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele is a testament to that common history, their friendship and to the future of Fijians and Samoans.

Bainimarama says their discussion yesterday has ensured that whatever that future holds, they will meet those challenges side-by-side.

He says when Fiji and Samoa assume global leadership and speak in global forums, they speak for Fijians, Samoans, Tongans, Tuvaluans, and Solomon Islanders, and for every woman, man and child in the Pacific.

Bainimarama adds that they still see the potential of the Pacific to emerge as a global leader in sustainable development, by bringing new industries, technologies and opportunities to our shores.

The Samoan Prime Minister is scheduled to leave Fiji tomorrow bound for Australia.
