Save the Children Fiji has highlighted that people need to work together to raise awareness and advocacy in preventing violence against children.

The organisation’s child led initiative Kids Link Fiji has come out strongly voicing their opinions on the recent rise in sexual violence against children.

Chief Executive, Iris Low-McKenzie says children are sending out a clear message that “enough is enough” and they want the violence to stop.

Low-McKenzie says these children have expressed their disappointment in neglectful adults, parents and community members for not taking care of children when they are most vulnerable.

She says members have also discussed how extremely worrying it is to see that in most cases the perpetrators are known to the children.

Save the Children Fiji says every individual should play a role in ending violence and abuse in Fiji.
