Village by law put on hold

The controversial village by law has been put on hold by the Government.

Permanent Secretary for i-Taukei Affairs Savenaca Kaunisela told FBC News a few things need to be taken into consideration before the law is enforced.

Kaunisela says one of the critical point is a provision in the law that contradicts human rights issues.

He says village boundary demarcation also needs to be done before the law is put to use.

Boundary demarcation should be completed by 2015.
