The two victims of the alleged stabbing incident in Lautoka yesterday remain admitted in hospital.

The 40-year-old woman is still in critical condition while her 8-year-old daughter is now admitted at the Children’s Intensive Care Unit and is also in critical condition.

Police investigations continue to determine the circumstances which led to the incident and are awaiting the post mortem result of the alleged suspect.

The two are in hospital after a 41-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 40-year-old wife and their 8-year-old daughter.

The man is alleged to have taken his own life.
