The creek at Vesida in Nasinu

The body of a man found in a creek on Christmas Day at Vesida in Nasinu has been positively identified.

The victim was a 36-year-old security officer residing there.

The corpse was found by a woman crossing the Vesida Bridge who noticed it lying facing down in the creek.

The Southern Division Crime officers are currently trying to ascertain the victim’s last movements.

Investigation continues.

A post mortem will be conducted soon.

Residents told FBC News that this is the fourth body that has been found in the same creek in the last nine years.
