The Fiji Airways men’s 7s forward Jasa Veremalua believes they have an excellent group of players who can deliver in this month’s Rugby World Cup in USA.
Veremalua was part of the side in 2013 when they lost to New Zealand 17-nil in the semifinal in Russia.
The Olympic gold medalists says he knows the feeling of losing at a World Cup and doesn’t want to repeat it.
“I think in the last World Cup we fielded in a good team in the likes of Metuisela Talebula and other big names. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to win the Cup. We lost in the semi-final against New Zealand and it motivates specially me and Leone Nakarawa the only survival of the World Cup to do better.”
The team will be based in the Utah, USA for 2 weeks before moving to the games venue a week before the World Cup.
The World Cup will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of this month in San Francisco.
