A body and the car involved in an accident last week have been found by the joint search team comprising of Fiji Police and Fiji Navy divers.

Divers discovered the body inside the submerged vehicle which was found a few meters down-stream in the Rewa River.

Attempts are now being made to pull the car out of the river at this hour.

The vehicle and its driver plummeted into the Rewa River on Wednesday last week after it veered off the road in Naduruloulou in Kasavu, Nausori.

Several attempts over the weekend to search for the vehicle had to be suspended because of unfavorable and dangerous conditions.
