Trade Minister, Faiyaz Koya has urged vegetable farmers to form co-operatives.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of Koronivia Vegetable Farmers’ Cooperative Koya says co-operative businesses play an important role in fostering inclusive growth in communities.

The government assisted the Cooperative in purchasing a new tractor that will now ease the burden of farming for the Co-operative members.

The government provided $50,000 while $22,000 was contributed by the community for the tractor.
