Vatuvonu Adventist College to remain open

In a major breakthrough, Vatuvonu Adventist College will not close down this Thursday.

Parents and Teachers Association President Taia Colaitiniyara told FBC News this morning, the school will resume classes in Term 2.

Colaitiniyara says they have been given assurance from government.

FBC News understands, the PTA met with the Commissioner Northern and Senior Government officials this morning.

During the meeting, the PTA for Vatuvonu submitted their petition to the Commissioner Northern and their request for the school to remain open.

Colaitiniyara told FBC News, parents will no longer be holding a protest tomorrow but will be meeting with government officials to discuss the way forward for the school.
