The Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea is urging the public to vacate the Labasa and Savusavu Town from now.

The two towns will be closed from 2pm. During this time, movement will be restricted.

Police are currently monitoring the situation is the town to make sure people clear the town and are back home before TC Winston takes a hit at Vanua Levu.

‘’The latest report is that at 3pm, it will be passing through and we should be expecting something strong this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow morning. It hasn’t passed us, it’s still on the way’’.

Vocea says the public has been given enough time from the morning to do their shopping for supplies and they are to remain indoors.
