USP Council discusses financial stability

The University of the South Pacific Council met in Kiribati recently to discuss its response to the institute’s governance and financial stability.

Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy says he attended the meeting as a council member.

‘’There were some major achievements in ironing out financial issues of USP and we are quite happy that USP in on the right footing and we look at USP continuing playing a very important role in the Human Resources development in the entire region’’.

Reddy says Fiji is the largest contributor to USP with its financial grant amounting to 79%of the overall members country grants.
