USP conducts two day Vaka Pacifiki Education Conference

More than four hundred people associated with the education sector have gathered to be part of the Vaka Pacifiki Education Conference.

Participants from different Pacific Island countries will share their ideas and experiences during the two day conference being held at the USP Laucala Campus.

Pacific Education and Research Foundation Board member Ana Maui Taufe’ulungaki says this conference is part of Vaka Pacifiki journey which is about rethinking Pacific education.

“Aim is to continue to transform Pacific education to meet the needs of the pacific children and in terms of their own values, their knowledge system their beliefs, their culture and their relationships.”

The theme for the conference is “It takes an Island and an Ocean: Rethinking Pacific Education for Resilient Healthy Communities.”
