Leaders in every department within the Ministry of Health are being urged to work hard and get the job done on time.

Health Minister Jone Usamate says energetic and good quality leadership within the ministry will mean the work gets done efficiently and in a timely manner.

“Leaders in the ministry that is you need to have the five characteristics – the five ‘E’s” and one ‘P’. Have you heard about the 5 ’E’s’ and one ‘P’ – I‘ll tell you what I expect to see from all leaders. I expect from all leaders to have Energy and should not half dead to be alive. When you see that leader is walking you can say that he is alive, when he speaks to you, you can tell that he’s alive.”

Usamate also wants his staff to be able to make tough decisions when leading a team.
