The Fiji Police Force has activated Operation Usa Bi in efforts to clamp down on heavy truck operators who continue to overload their vehicles.

Director of Police Operations Superintendent Rusiate Tudravu says overloading continues despite several warnings and advisories.

“Operation Usa Bi will now see officers out roads monitoring the movement of heavy vehicles, and those found carrying excess weight or tonnage will be dealt with according to law”.

Drivers found overloading their vehicles can be fined $1,000 for the 1st load in excess.
